Art has many forms and media depending on the type; you have paintbrushes, film, clay, metal and more. After years of doing Urban Exploration and Street Photography in Long Island, New York City and the surrounding boroughs, I have come across an abundance of graffiti art. Every Graffiti Artist and every area has their own take on the art form and every area has their own artists with individual tags. On Long Island the abandoned places tend to have the same 3 big Graffiti Artists that have gone from place to place, whereas the city has thousands. Once which was thought to be vandalism by some has become masterpieces to the graffiti artist and the other artists that come through these places. I was always fascinated at an early age with the graffiti I saw and the early hip hop scenes in the 90’s. Most photography I have photographed are in these abandoned places that people down see and some photos are of those found in plain sight that people tend to not notice.
